"Unlocking the Benefits of the Companion Card: Your Guide to Accessible Travel"

Are you eligible for a companion card?

As we know, sometimes getting around is a challenge in itself, and not every day is the same. We could feel better or worse!

It is worth enquiring whether you are eligible for a Companion Card to lighten the load financially and make it easier for our care givers to get access and support us more when we are going out and about in the community.

Are you a permanent resident of NSW? Do you always need a support person with you so you can participate in community events and activities? Does your support person help you with mobility, planning, self-care (feeding, toileting), communication or handling money?

If you have answered yes to all of these, you may be eligible for a NSW Companions Card.

And remember to answer these questions as if it is your worst day. This card will belong to you. A companion is a person who provides

attendant care.

This can be a partner, family member, friend, volunteer, or paid carer. Where accepted, this card allows your care giver entry free of charge so they can provide you with assistance.

For more information or to check your eligibility call 1800 893 044, 9am-4pm Monday to Friday, or send applications and questions about applications to
