Personal review of the Weightless Harness Treadmill at Blueprint Podiatry
Well, when I first learned about this device, my first initial reaction was "I don't think I will like this too much and I don't think it will be for me!" I also thought that "I wasn't bad enough to need it". Big misconceptions that I had, even for myself.
Well, wasn't I in for a pleasant surprise when I tried it for the first time. I expected it to be uncomfortable, to my surprise it was fine, nothing to be alarmed about. All that talking myself out of it before I even tried it.
It is a treadmill with a harness fitted independently above it. The safety feeling it gives you is enormous and allows you the ability to move safely and allows you the freedom to walk further than maybe normal. This is huge for us MS'ers. When the harness lifts your body weight up, you can walk lighter with less impact on your joints. That is my experience anyway.
I have had the pleasure of working with owner Matt and also Jackson. Both very caring and genuine towards working with people with MS. Rooms are airconditioned and there is a huge fan that blows air directly on you.
They are very educated on how MS is affected by heat, and I am always asked if I am ok. Cold bottled water is always on offer.
I find it very refreshing when Allied Health professionals make it a priority to learn about MS specially when having us as clients.
If you are interested in trying the Weightless Harness Treadmill, I would highly recommend reaching out to Blueprint Podiatry to see if this is suitable for you.
I need to make mention that neither myself or the Central Coast MS Branch have any financial gain or affliation with Blueprint Podiatry.
